US economic data is "truly great," said Hassett from the White House.
On Monday, Kevin Hassett, Director of the White House National Economic Council, highlighted recent positive economic indicators in an interview with Fox News. Referring to last week's employment report, Hassett noted that the addition of 10,000 manufacturing jobs and 9,000 automotive jobs exceeded expectations. He also pointed out today's inflation data, indicating that the core inflation rate is at its lowest level in four years.
"The economic news we are seeing is truly fantastic," said Hassett. "It is well above economists' expectations." According to him, these developments reflect the success of President Trump’s economic policies. He emphasized the impact on mortgage markets, suggesting that the positive response stems from confidence that the government will not engage in excessive money printing and spending. Hassett stated that the government is implementing disciplined spending practices and is currently negotiating a budget agreement consistent with this approach.
